Colombian tennis duo, Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah qualified for the US Open men’s doubles final with a victory over British team Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski in two tie breaks 7-6, 7-6. It will be the second grand slam final of the year for the caleños after their Wimbledon title in July.
Cabal and Farah, fresh from winning their first ever Grand Slam together at Wimbledon this July, have been racing through the doubles draw on Flushing Meadows in New York. They only dropped a set in their second-round match against Brits Daniel Evans and Cameron Norrie.
The semifinal proved a tough nut to crack. The break-less match was decided in two tie breaks, with the Colombians only scoring one point more than their opponents in the entire match. After two hours and one minute, and on their third match point, Skupski hit a smash into the net to send the successful Colombian team to the US Open final.

In their hunt for their second grand slam doubles title, Cabal and Farah will face Marcel Granollers from Spain and Horacio Zeballos from Argentina, in an all Spanish language final scheduled for tomorrow at 11am Colombian time.
The other Colombian still active in New York is María Camila Osorio in the junior women’s tournament. The 17-year-old from Bogotá will compete in her quarter final tomorrow at 10am.
